International winger from DR Congo, Elie Mpanzu, has caught the attention of several top European clubs after an outstanding season with Simba SC in 2024/25.
Despite Simba's desire to retain his services for the upcoming season, various reports suggest that the player has drawn significant interest from major clubs, putting Simba in a difficult position due to the nature of the offers expected to arrive in Msimbazi.
Mpanzu joined Simba SC on September 30, 2024, from AS Vita Club of DR Congo. However, he didnโt start playing for the club immediately as the summer transfer window had closed on August 15. He was signed in preparation for the January 2025 mid-season transfer window and quickly proved his worth on the pitch.
In just six months, Mpanzu has become a key player in Simba's lineup. He played a pivotal role in helping the team reach the final of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) and finish second in the NBC Tanzania Premier League, which concluded on June 25, 2025.
His statistics speak for themselves. In the Confederation Cup, he scored one goal and provided two assists. In the domestic league, he was directly involved in 10 of Simba's 69 goals โ scoring four and assisting six.
Given his on-field impact, it's no surprise that clubs such as Brest FC (Ligue 1, France), KRC Genk (Belgium), and Malmo FF (Sweden) have shown serious interest. These clubs are reportedly already in early talks as they look to secure his signature ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Nonetheless, Mpanzu remains one of Simbaโs key weapons, and if the Msimbazi Reds are to part ways with him, his transfer fee certainly wonโt be a small one.
