After returning from Tabora, the Simba squad will today be at Mo Simba Arena to prepare for their upcoming NBC Premier League match against Kagera Sugar.
The match will take place on Sunday, June 22, at the KMC Complex Stadium, kicking off at 4:00 PM.
This will be Simba’s last game this season at the KMC Complex, as the Kariakoo Derby against Yanga is scheduled to be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Having recently demolished Ken Gold with a 5-0 win, Simba now turns its attention to Kagera Sugar, a team they beat 5-2 in the first-leg match at Kaitaba Stadium.
Simba needs all three points from this match to keep their title hopes alive ahead of the season-ending fixture against Yanga on June 25.
Despite admitting that his players were affected by the schedule change of the derby—which was originally set for June 15—Simba’s Head Coach Fadlu Davids praised his players for their spirit and energy in the Ken Gold match and is looking to see the same momentum in Sunday’s clash against Kagera Sugar.
