The Tanzania Premier League Board (TPLB) is expected to issue an important update today, Friday, regarding Premier League match number 184 between Yanga and Simba, scheduled to be played on Sunday, June 15 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The League Board spokesperson, Karim Boimanda, stated that key preparations for the match are progressing well, indicating that there will be no changes to the match date.
"Preparations are going well, but I would also like to share that some critical and important information will be released at any moment starting now,"
"These updates will mark the conclusion of the entire preparation process for the match. Stakeholders should wait to hear this information related to the game,"
"We continue to emphasize that match preparations are ongoing, and we believe the respective teams, as well as other match stakeholders, are also continuing with their preparations," said Boimanda.
Simba has taken a firm stand against any changes to the match date, and expectations are that the League Board will announce the procedure regarding the rights of fans who purchased tickets for the original match scheduled for March 8, along with the sale of remaining tickets.
The Board may also publicly announce the officiating team for the match, although rumors suggest that the same referee lineup assigned for the March 8 match will be used.
