Simba’s team doctor, Edwin Kagabo, has confirmed that all players are fit and ready for the Kariakoo Derby against Yanga, set to take place on Sunday, June 15, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Kagabo said that four key players had previously suffered injuries, but all have now fully recovered and are medically cleared to play on Sunday.
“Some players picked up knocks during the match against Singida Black Stars in Manyara, but we’re happy they have all returned to training to prepare for our upcoming game,” he said.
“Our goalkeeper Moussa Camara had a chest issue but is now fine, as is Valentine Nouma, who had a knee injury during that match — he’s also back in training,” he added.
“Our defender Che Malone Fondoh had a minor issue in the same match, but as you can see, he’s fully fit and training with the rest of the team,” Kagabo continued.
“We had been without Mzamiru Yassin for quite a while, but he has now returned and is training fully with the squad,” he said.
“In short, all our players are ready for the upcoming match — we have no injury concerns whatsoever,” Kagabo concluded.
The Simba squad entered camp on Monday to prepare for the crucial derby, which the team must win to climb to the top of the league table and strengthen their chances in this season’s title race.
