The league board today summoned Yanga officials to a preparatory meeting for match number 184 of the NBC Premier League, which will feature Yanga and Simba and is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 15 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
It is reported that the meeting was convened by the Board after observing that the host team (Yanga) had not made any preparations ahead of the match.
It is clear that following the meeting, the league board may take on the responsibility of completing essential preparations if Yanga officials maintain their stance of not participating in the match.
Yesterday, Simba’s Head of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, hinted that the Board has the authority to organize the match when the host team fails to fulfill its responsibilities properly.
