Simba is heading to the Confederation Cup finals against RS Berkane where the first leg will be played on Saturday May 17 in Morocco and the return leg will be played a week later on May 25 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Since last week, rumors have been raised that Simba did not sign attacking midfielder Elie Mpanzu on a direct contract but on a six-month loan from AS Vita club
The rumors have raised the issue of Simba Board of Directors Member Salim Abdallah 'Try Again' who oversaw the Mpanzu registration process
Try Again said Simba bought Mpanzu from AS Vita club and not on loan signing a two-year contract
"Elie Mpanzu is a legitimate Simba player, he signed a two-year contract again, he signed in my office now what is happening now is propaganda to try to get us off the rails. Simba fans have more important matches to discuss than Mpanzu's contract "My fellow wrestlers, we are at the peak of achieving the success of lifting the Confederation Cup, let's stop playing a song that we don't play and focus on these two finals that are ahead of us," said Try Again.
