Simba coach Fadlu Davids has turned a blind eye to the team's stars following the results of four matches in the Mainland Premier League, also reminding them of the task ahead of them in the CAF Confederation Cup final against RS Berkane of Morocco this weekend away.
Simba played and won those matches against Mashujaa, scoring 2-1, defeated JKT Tanzania by 1-0, then thrashed Pamba Jiji 5-1 and yesterday defeated KMC 2-1 and collected 12 points, which reduced the gap between the team and leaders Yanga from 13 to one.
However, despite the victory in those four consecutive matches, coach Fadlu has expressed his displeasure with the team's defense allowing goals in three matches, with only one clean sheet against JKT Tanzania, which puts pressure on him as they face RS Berkane.
Simba leaves today for Morocco to face Berkane on Saturday in the first leg and final of the Confederation Cup to be played from 4:00 pm before the return match a week later. For Mkapa, with the Cup on the field and Fadlu said his thirst is to ensure that everything ends away in Morocco.
The coach said that allowing three goals in those Premier League matches shows the players' forgetfulness and that is why he has had to sit with them to remind them before following Berkane that they need to be careful with the intention of creating a good environment to win the CAF CC title.
