The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, has congratulated Simba FC for reaching the final of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC)
Through a message posted on the President's official Facebook page, President Samia wished Simba all the best in the final while assuring them of her continued support

A goalless draw against Stellenbosch in the second leg of the semi-final was enough to send Simba to the final following a 1-0 win in the first leg
Simba will now face RS Berkane in the final, with the first leg to be played in Morocco on May 17 and the return leg in Tanzania on May 25
After missing out on the CAF Cup in 1993 in the final against Stella Abdijan, this time Simba has a chance to ensure that the trophy remains in Tanzania and set a record of becoming the first Tanzanian team to win the title
