Simba attacking midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua has apologised to Simba fans following the incident of losing a crucial chance in the first leg of the Confederation Cup (CAF CC) semi-final against Stellenbosch held at the New Amaan Complex yesterday
Despite scoring the only goal that secured Simba a crucial 1-0 victory, Ahoua had a chance to increase Simba's lead in injury time but failed to finish a pass from Elie Mpanzu and missed the chance to score after dribbling the Stellenbosch goalkeeper
Through a message he wrote on his social media page, Ahoua said the incident was like an accident at work and therefore apologised to all fans
"It was an accident at work so please forgive me," wrote Ahoua
A 1-0 home win still gives Simba a chance to qualify for the finals if they need an away win, a draw and if they score in South Africa, Stellenbosch will need to score at least three goals
