Simba Club has begun the process of organizing a large number of fans to Durban, South Africa where the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final against Stellenbosch will be played on April 27 this year.
Simba has begun liaising with the Tanzanian and South African government authorities on the issue of permits for fans to travel to South Africa where it is keen to see a large group travel by bus as there are no different challenges than if it were to face a team from North Africa where it is difficult to travel by land.
"South Africa is within reach and we wish to see many of our fans go there and when they join forces with Tanzanians living there we will have a large number that will make us feel like we are playing at home"
"This season we do not want to joke around with this competition at all because we want to go beyond the semi-finals and God willing we can win the championship, so we are taking every game seriously," said one of the club's leaders Simba.
Simba's Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ally, said the club will provide clarification on the process and clarify the procedure for fans to have the opportunity to travel to the valley.
The first leg match will be played on April 20 and is most likely to be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium despite the stadium being closed after the game against Al Masry for renovations.
