Simba are all over the place after qualifying for the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup. But Al Masry Coach, Anis Boujelbene has clearly stated that he sees Simba winning the CAF CC championship
He said that with the level that Simba has shown in the two matches he has faced and then looking at the stars of the Msimbazi team and even their schedule, the issue of the African championship should be lost by themselves.
Boujelbene opened up that Simba could be the first Tanzanian team to win the African championship this season due to the quality of the squad on the field which is the most important thing and that despite them scoring 2-0 goals in the first game but the Reds were better than them.
The coach added that the biggest thing that Simba is doing is that even if they lose away, they are very confident of winning at home.
"We have accepted that we lost, we tried hard, you see the condition of the field gave us trouble, but our teammates seemed to cope, I congratulate Simba for qualifying," he said.
"No one is sure when it comes to penalty, our colleagues were lucky to be stronger than us, they can take the championship, yes (Simba) if you look at when we met them at home we saw that one goal was not enough, we looked for a second but it was not enough to give them difficulty"
"What happened means that Simba, in order to give them trouble, maybe score three or more goals, when they are at home they have great power to create the results they want," Boujelbene was quoted by Mwanaspoti
