Simba bosses have left it up to their players to decide whether to qualify to the CAF Confederation Cup semi-finals, after meeting and making a decision that Billionaire, Mohammed Dewji MO has placed on the table a significant burden.
Simba, in order to qualify, must score three goals in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup to be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium while being required to not allow any goal in their net in order to overcome the 2-0 loss in the away game.
MO Dewji has sent a greeting to the team's players asking them to be told that if they fight to ensure that Simba qualifies for the semi-finals of the tournament by eliminating Al Masry, then they will reap Sh500 million.
Earlier it was stated that MO Dewji planned to give them Sh400 million if the players were to succeed in qualifying but after the results of losing the first game played in Egypt, he increased the amount by Sh100 million to reach Sh500 million.
The promise will be a big blow to Simba players who had earlier sat down for a meeting before starting their return trip from Egypt, wanting to improve themselves by using the opportunities they will create.
"We know we have the ability to remove these Arabs, what is needed is motivation for our players, and the rich man has done something blasphemous. I don't think they have ever received a bonus as big as this in recent years," the Simba senior leader was quoted by Mwanaspoti and added:
