Simba Media and Communications Manager Ahmed Ali today launched the excitement and enthusiasm towards the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup (CAF CC) quarter-final against Al Masry to be played on Wednesday, April 09
Speaking at the launch of the HII TUNAVUKA at Mbezi Shule Sokoni in Dar es Salaam earlier today, Ahmed said the responsibility of the Simba fans is to buy tickets to fill the Benjamin Mkapa stadium as the players have assured them that they will win the game against Al Masry and qualify for the semi-finals
Despite losing 2-0 in the first leg, Ahmed said the result has not discouraged them but has given them strength towards the second leg and the road to the semi-finals is clear
"Our team has returned to the country and we are immediately starting preparations for the second leg. We lost the first leg in Egypt by 2-0 goals but that result is not to discourage us but is a result of giving us strength to win at the Stadium Mkapa"
"Our chance of going to the semi-finals this season is slim and has no features. Losing the first game should not deter us from our goals. When we started we said THIS IS WHAT WE WILL GET OUT OF AND THIS IS WHAT WE WILL GET OUT OF. This is not a Lion to be worried about, this Lion is going to the semi-finals"
"In recent years we have been people of sadness, people of despair. That is not the nature of Simba. This Lion we want people with hard hearts, people who believe in time, people who believe it is not over until it is over"
