The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final between Al Masry and Simba ended with the hosts emerging with a 2-0 victory
It is probably a game that you can say that Simba players will blame themselves for the defeat as the game was on their side for most of the time
A shot from outside the 18th minute by Abderrahim Deghmoum beat Moussa Camara in the 16th minute and lasted until half-time
In the second half, Simba dominated the game by creating many chances but Elie Mpanzu, who was a thorn in the Al Masry defense, failed to make good use of the opportunities
A surprise attack in the last few minutes gave Al Masry the advantage to score the second goal which has clearly increased Simba's mountain in the second leg
For Simba to advance, they will now need to get a 3-0 victory in the second leg to be played on April 09 at Benjamin Stadium Mkapa
