The Simba squad is expected to leave Dar es Salaam at dawn on Thursday, March 28, for Egypt ready for the first leg of the Confederation Cup (CAF CC) quarter-final against Al Masry to be played on April 02 at the Suez Stadium
Speaking at a press conference earlier today, Simba's Media and Communications Manager Ahmed Ali said some of the players who were in the Tanzanian National Team will travel directly to Egypt
Ahmed said they realize the game against Al Masry will be difficult but this time they are prepared and the goal is to advance to the quarter-finals
"The squad will leave the country at dawn on the 28th for Egypt using an Egypt Air flight. Our former Taifa Stars players will join the team in Egypt. Camara and Mukwala have already arrived in the country to join their teammates for preparations for the trip"
"Every Simba fan should realize that despite the plans we have, we must plan, we must "Let's prepare ourselves, especially if the team itself is from Egypt. If you look at the African championships, you will see that Egypt is the country that has sent four teams to the quarter-finals."
"We are going to play Al Masry knowing that we are going to play a really tough match, but the goal we have set for ourselves is to qualify for the semi-finals," said Ahmed
