After reports emerged that Yanga club has filed a claim with the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) demanding that they be awarded three points following the League Board's postponement of the Kariakoo Derby between Yanga and Simba which was scheduled to be played on March 08 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, the League Board has issued a statement regarding the decision.
Interviewed by a news outlet yesterday, League Board Chairman Steven Mnguto said the Board has not yet made a decision on the future of the game, so for Yanga to go to CAS is just bothering itself.
He also said that along with the rules, wisdom and prudence should be used to ensure that no party is harmed.
"The board's final decisions have not yet been made, we believe that a solution can be found through internal meetings, prudence and wisdom should be used so that each party is satisfied instead of taking the matter abroad."
