Simba board member Crescentius Magori has said that the decision not to participate in the Premier League match against Yanga today is to protect the club's interests until appropriate action is taken by the authorities against all those involved in the attack on Simba yesterday and denying them the opportunity to train at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium as per the regulations
Magori has stated that Simba's position is to boycott the match against Yanga today and will not broadcast any other league match this season if action is not taken
"It's not just tomorrow's match (today), we are not playing the league until those who participated in this nonsense are punished," wrote Magori on his social media page
Simba arrived at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium an hour early to train but in a surprising situation, the stadium manager prevented them from entering the stadium, claiming that he was not informed that a team would be training at night
Even when the game administrator arrived to confirm that Simba were allowed to train, the alleged Yanga security guards 'Bouncers' prevented Simba's convoy from entering the stadium despite a major effort that took place over a period of about 2 hours
Simba left Benjamin Mkapa Stadium at 9pm after long efforts failed
