The head coach of Simba, Fadlu Davids, has said that his squad is now ready for the Tanzania Mainland Premier League game against their traditional hometown, Yanga, which is expected to be played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Dar es Salaam, on Saturday this week
Speaking after the end of the league game between the team and Coastal Union, which was played at the Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha the other day and won 3-0, Fadlu said he believes it will be a good match
Fadlu also enjoyed the potential shown by players who have been missing from the first team, saying they have made him reconsider the starting line-up for the game
"Steven Mukwala was very good in the field playing for the benefit of the team while staying in the right places which made him score three goals by himself, a 'hat-trick', despite not having a chance to start the first team for a long time today I gave him a chance and he has done great in the field"
"I am happy for Salim Ali to start and play with a high level of skill to finish with a 'clean sheet', Kameta (Duchu) also provided an 'assist', Debora Fernandes has also shown that she wants numbers, their standards have confused me enough to rethink the planning of the squad that will start on Saturday," said the coach
In yesterday's game, Simba played six players who do not get a chance to start in the first team where apart from Mukwala, Salim and Fernandes, the others are David Kameta, Valentin Nouma, and Chamou Karaboue
