This season and previous seasons, players whose teams were eliminated in the initial stage of the CAFCL and CAFCC competitions, players lost the qualification to serve new teams in the tournament when they moved to teams that had not been eliminated
That is if a player serves team A in the initial stage and is registered for team B in a min window, he cannot serve his new team in the CAF competition in the same season
The good news is that the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has changed the rule where when a player moves from one club, he is allowed to serve his new club in the CAF competition
The changes were announced yesterday at the inauguration ceremony of the Headquarters of the Confederation of African Clubs (ACA) in Morocco
This is good news for all the clubs that participate in the CAF championship because previously they were not allowed to use a player who had already been used in another club within the same season of the CAF championship if they sign him during the small window
