Simba Club has applied for Tanzanian citizenship for its 9 foreign players who are not called up in their national teams, it has been learned
The action has come a few days after the Singida Black Stars club successfully obtained Tanzanian citizenship for four of their players, Emmanuel Keyekeh (27) from Ghana, Arthur Bada (22) from Ivory Coast, Amas Obasogie (22) from Nigeria and Damaro Camara (21) from Guinea
Information within the leadership has confirmed that the application has been sent where Simba has asked to be given a procedure to achieve this
"It is true that Simba has sent an application to the Department of Immigration to ask for 9 international players who do not get a place in their national teams to be given Tanzanian citizenship. What is awaited is instructions from Immigration so that the process can start immediately," said the informant.
Among the players mentioned in the list is attacking midfielder Jean Charles Ahoua who has the citizenship of the Ivory Coast
Ahoua has not yet served the Ivory Coast national team, if he gets Tanzanian citizenship he will be able to serve the national team as well
