The head coach of Simba, Fadlu Davids has expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his players and showered them with praise for showing maturity and getting the result of a 2-0 victory against CS Constantine of Algeria while concluding the matches of the groups of the CAF CC.
Simba got the victory at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, in Dar es Salaam without the presence of the club's fans due to the punishment of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which banned the team for the offense of rioting and breaking seats right after the 2-1 victory match against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia at the end of last year.
Speaking immediately after the game, coach Fadlu said that the victory was the cooperation of the technical bench, the players and the officials, so they have achieved their goals of leading group A with 13 points.
"We have played with a good team. It has a good coach. I congratulate them for doing well until reaching the quarter-finals. It was not an easy task. The main thing is that my players have shown the maturity to decide the outcome of the victory, I know the fans will have enjoyed that." said Fadlu and added;
"Right now we want to put in the effort to do well in order to reach the finals," said Fadlu
On the part of Constantine's coach, Kheireddine Madoui, he has congratulated Simba for the victory they got at home, saying they deserved it due to the level they showed.
"In the first half we tried to control Simba but the second half was good for them, after conceding one goal my players lost focus and it was a good chance for them to score the second goal," said the coach
