Simba former sponsor Azim Dewji has said that the fruits of investment have begun to be seen as the team begins to regain its kingdom in Tanzanian football and Africa in general
Dewji was part of the Simba delegation that traveled to Tunisia in the game against CS Sfaxien and later Angola in the game against Bravos Fc
In the two away matches, Simba collected four out of six points and reached the quarter-finals of the CAF Federation Cup with one match in hand
Dewji has praised the leadership of the Lions Board under its Chairman, Mohammed Dewji, saying that the first step in building the squad has been done on a large scale
Dewji has expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the players who have stood firm in away and even home matches while saying that Simba has a chance to lead even their group.
"First of all, let me congratulate the Board of Directors of Simba under Mohammed (Dewji), you know I have not traveled with Simba for about 32 years, since I stopped sponsoring it, but these two away matches I said let me go and see how the team plays with my own eyes, " Dewji was quoted by Mwanaspoti and added.
"I was in Tunisia and now I have come from Angola, in fact the leadership has done the job that the Zimbabweans were crying for, this team is better, I can say this first step registration has been done to standards"
