Kibu scored both goals in the seventh minute and 90+8 in a 2-1 victory that put Simba in a good position to continue fighting to reach the quarter-finals of the tournament after reaching the same six points as Bravos and Constantine.
>"We knew we weren't in a good situation after the early goal," said Kibu referring to the third minute, when CS Sfaxien took the lead through Hazem Haj Hassen.
"But we knew that the game was not over and we had a chance to go back and fight. As players, we did not accept defeat"
In the seventh minute, Kibu answered the blows by scoring the equalizing goal using his head to finish off a free-kick from Jean Charles Ahoua. The goal was a great consolation for the players and fans of Simba, as it brought hope back to the team and went into the break with a 1-1 draw.
"My head was full of ideas of how to help my team," said Kibu explaining how he scored the goal.
