Simba players, Jean Charles Ahoua and Moussa Camara yesterday assured the team to leave with three important points in a 1-0 victory against Bravos do Maquis of Angola in the first game of the group stage of the African Confederation Cup.
In the group 'A' game played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, in Dar es Salaam, the only goal was scored by star midfielder, Jean Charles Ahoua in the 27th minute after Bravos defender Antonio Edmilson caught the ball in the danger zone.
The goal is the first for Ahoua in the international championship since he joined the team this season from Stella Club Adjame in his native Ivory Coast, continuing the best level with the team after showing great potential in the Premier League and making the team stay at the top of the standings with 28 points, after being involved in nine goals so far after scoring five and contributing four 'Assists' out of 22, for the whole team.
Despite Ahoua scoring the important goal, the other Simba hero who made the game end with the victory was the goalkeeper, Moussa Camara, who saved Emmanuel Edmond's penalty in the 48th minute and brought the Msimbazi team back into the game.
Ahoua's ability is the same as that of the goalkeeper, Camara, who since joining from Horoya AC in his native Guinea, has made a great contribution to the team so far.
