After being dropped by Simba, striker Freddy Michael Koublan has joined Zambia's Zesco United club on a one-year contract
Zesco United have confirmed the signing of the Ivorian striker who last season was the top scorer in the Zambia Premier League, scoring 14 goals despite half the season serving Simba, which he joined in January this year
Freddy scored eight goals for Simba in the league last season, however, he did not impress coach Fadlu Davids, who suggested that he should be replaced by striker Lionel Ateba, a citizen of Cameroon
Before returning to Zambia, Freddy tried USM Alger club who wanted to sign him after selling Ateba but he lacked the important criterion of a foreign player having served the national team
