Despite getting a late victory against Mashujaa Fc in Kigoma, the head coach of Simba, Fadlu Davis, said he was surprised to see some referees showing his team by denying them deserved penalties and adding that they might want to see his players' legs broken
Fadlu said this after the end of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League match between his team against Mashujaa FC, which was played at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium and left with a 1-0 victory
The South African coach said he does not understand why it happens to some referees who play their games that they do not take appropriate measures and he does not know if they are doing it out of ignorance or there is something else
"It is possible that Simba does not deserve to be given a penalty in the Premier League because in the match against Yanga, Kibu was fouled twice in the danger zone and the referee called, today (the other day) again, Mukwala (Steven), was brought down in the box but we haven't been given either, I think the referees want my players' legs to be broken so they can see if the sins have really been committed," complained Fadlu
Talking about the game itself, the coach, who is coaching Simba for the first time this season, said he was happy to see his players have played clean football despite the challenge of the field
"I am happy that my players have played clean football on a field that was not friendly. This is how I like my players to be, to play football for the whole 90 minutes because a goal can be scored at any minute," Fadlu said
