Initially Simba had a plan to keep him however after signing Lionel Ateba, Simba coach Fadlu Davies saw no reason to keep him in the squad
Freddy landed at Simba in January this year from the Green Eagles club of Zambia, where in the 7 months he spent with the reds of Msimbazi, he scored 11 goals in all competitions, six goals scored in the major league
