Simba club has abandoned the plan to sign winger Elie Mpanzu from AS Vita club, it is understood
Simba Information and Communication Manager Ahmed Ali has said that the program has been suspended after failing to reach an agreement with AS Vita
Ahmed said Simba was ready to give any amount of money that AS Vita would need but the team was not ready to sell him
"The problem was not money, we were ready to offer any amount even if they said they wanted 10 million dollars, but they were not ready to sell the player," said Ahmed
Simba had already reached a personal agreement with Mpanzu but the obstacle remained for AS Vita who needed more than 3 lakh dollars (more than 650 million) to break the one-year contract
Simba has already returned Willy Onana to the squad where he landed in Ismailia, Egypt yesterday for the pre-season
