One day after the draw for the African Confederation Cup was arranged, the management of the Simba club has said that they are happy to receive the schedule of the tournament because they are going to meet the teams that are below them in terms of ability in the first stage
In the draw played at the headquarters of CAF, Cairo, Egypt, Simba, which will start from the first stage, is waiting to play with the winner between Uhamaji FC of Zanzibar and a representative from Libya who has not yet been identified in their preliminary stage game
Simba's Information and Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally has said that the way is clear for them to move forward in the championship
"We have received the CAF draw well, we do not underestimate our opponents, whoever comes we will negotiate with him, for us we see a clear path to the next step, we are waiting for our opponent to come and we will receive him," said Ahmed
He said for any team that will qualify to play with them, they will not underestimate him because it is a small team for them because the game of football is a game of mistakes
"We should not underestimate these small teams, if you underestimate them they can strip you of your clothes, so we are preparing well, as you know the team has already started preparing for the Premier League as well as this championship," added Ahmed
He said that work is currently underway to prepare their team for the new competition season
"Training is starting to heat up in our camp, every player has high morale, and our new coach Fadlu Davids is happy with the situation he found in his players"
"To tell you the truth, the coach has already started training and has expressed his satisfaction with the level of players he found and said he has a job to put them together to play in the system he needs"
