Simba's youth team under 20 years of age, has reached the semi-finals of the League of players of that age for Premier League teams, without allowing a single goal in the eighth stage of the best
The team has been one of the four teams that have advanced to the eighth best stage of the league, the other team is Dodoma Jiji, coming from Group A with Simba, Azam FC leading Group B, with Kagera Sugar
Simba's youth started the process by beating Ihefu 2-0, and later punished Dodoma Jiji 1-0, before finding a solution in its last match against JKT Tanzania
It finished its matches with seven points, playing three matches, winning two matches and not losing any game, while Dodoma City moved forward with six points, playing three matches, winning two and losing one
The head coach of Simba U20, Mohamed Mrisho, said they are grateful to his players for putting themselves in all the matches up to that stage, as it was not easy due to the fierce competition in the league
"I congratulate my players, we have prepared a plan and they have gone to implement it on the field, now we are preparing to play the semi-finals, we are going to correct the shortcomings we saw in the previous matches," said Mrisho
