The fever of the CAF Champions League match between the hosts Simba against Al Ahly has intensified as Simba digs in Kisiwani Zanzibar for the game
Simba head coach Abdelhak Benchikha has sent his team to Zanzibar with the aim of finding a good time to train at night and in a quiet place.
Benchikha said the squad will stay in Zanzibar for seven to eight days while making it clear that they will have a chance to play one friendly match to open up the players' bodies after training to get fit and ready for the game.
"The main reason for asking for the camp to be sent to Zanzibar first is that there is a large plain to find a field that will be friendly for us to practice at night and we will do that for the time we expect to play the game"
"I also needed the stability of the squad. Zanzibar is the right place especially at this time which is a fast, there is no league being played and it is a good time for me to meet all my players for training after having a rest and we get together, "He said
Talking about the friendly game, he said that it is not his responsibility to find a team but he has asked the leadership to do so before returning to Dar es Salaam for the match if they have played one friendly game.
"My program is important for one game, if we stay for seven to eight days, we cannot practice without opening up the players' bodies by playing one game that will not require a lot of energy to be used, what I will look at more is how the players have understood what I have instructed them to do and open up their bodies" /em>
