The Information and Communication Manager of the Simba club Ahmed Ally has said that the number one strategy of Simba to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League in Africa is to ensure that they get a big win in the quarter-final game that will be played at home
Simba will face Al Ahly where the first game will be played at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium at the end of this month and the second leg will be played in Egypt one week later
Ahmed has said that they are not afraid of Al Ahly because they have often scored against them in the Mkapa tournament
But the match this time is probably more important than the last time they met as a total win will guarantee them a place in the semi-finals
"We enjoyed this draw because we got the opponent we wanted. Simba was ready to play with anyone, Al Ahly has come, let me just say, this time we have a job"
"We know that at this stage of the knockout stage, Al Ahly is always a difficult team, especially when it plays in its home field"
"In order for us to be sure of reaching the semi-finals, Al Ahly must beat Mkapa. And this is the responsibility that every Mwanasimba should carry from now on," said Ahmed
At the beginning of this season, Simba and Al Ahly met in the AFL where the first game played in Dar es Salaam ended with a 2-2 draw and the second game played in Egypt ended with a 1-1 draw
