Simba defender Hennock Inonga Baka has been included in the DR Congo national team squad for the Afcon 2023 championship starting on January 13th, 2024 in Ivory Coast
Inonga is one of only three players playing in Africa included in the squad of 27 players
The others are Fiston Mayele from Pyramids Fc and Siadi from TP Mazembe
Other Simba players who are awaiting their fate if they will play in Afcon 2023 are Clatous Chama (Zambia), Aishi Manula, Mohammed Hussein, Kennedy Juma, Mzamiru Yassin and Kibu Denis (Taifa Stars)
