Simba goalkeeping coach, Dani Cadena has said that the performance shown by goalkeeper Ayoub Lakred is minor percentage and the fans should expect much from him this season despite the his shaky start.
Ayoub in the rematch of the CAF Champions League between Simba and Wydad AC of Morocco showed an excellent performance which is a continuation of the fire he showed in the CAF competition and enabled Simba to win 2-0 and rose from the fourth place of Group B to the second with five points.
Cadena said that the goalkeeper started slowly due to not getting used to the local environment and even his teammates in general, although in a short period of time he has started to get used to it, which is why he is doing well.
"Everyone must realize that Lakred is a good goalkeeper, but unfortunately for him he started slowly and if you look at the needs of the team as a whole, they were great, thus putting pressure on him which largely contributed to the bad start," Cadena was quoted by >Mwanaspoti p>
Cadena added that his strength and patience in the team is what makes him do well while asking the fans to expect great things from him.
Lakred, who joined the team this season from FAR Rabat in Morocco, got off to a bad start which caused him to make frequent mistakes even though he has now become a support after Aishi Manula got injured
In the African Champions League game against Wydad Casablanca, Lakred got an average of 7.4% of the best rate according to the Fotmob network, being overtaken by Leandre Onana who got 8.9
In that league, Lakred is in third place for goalkeepers who have saved the most shots on goal where he has done so with 85.7 percent, being surpassed by Hugo Marques of Petro de Luanda with 100 and Alioune Badara Faty of TP Mazembe with 90.9
