Chief Executive of Simba Imani Kajula yesterday assured the Members and Fans of Simba that Coach Abdelhak Benchikha will perform his duties freely without interference from anyone
Kajula had to make that statement after there were whispers that the previous coach Robertinho Oliveira was sometimes 'forced' to use some players and leave others out
Benchikha himself made it clear that in his squad he will use players who are doing well in training
The size of the player's name will not be a criterion to guarantee him to play if he has no influence in the training grounds
This is good news for all Simba players and will increase competition in the squad. There are players who assured themselves to play regardless of their quality at the time
A player like Moses Phiri got little chance to play but he did well, maybe this could be his chance to secure a place in the Benchikha squad
The bench will have time to evaluate his squad and make recommendations that will be used to improve when the small registration window opens on December 16
