Simba head coach Robertinho Oliveira has said his squad is ready for the AFL game against Al Ahly which will be played tomorrow Friday at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
Speaking at a press conference held at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium earlier today, Robertinho said they have completed the preparations and there is no pressure towards the game
Robertinho said they will enter the game respecting Al Ahly because they know they are the biggest team in Africa but even Simba is also a big team
"We realize this game (against Al Ahly) is big, but we don't have any pressure. Even as a player in Brazil, I have met matches like this, so I enjoy it and I have no pressure"
"It is true that Al Ahly is the best team and has experience in the African Champions League, but the ball is now and we are ready for 90 minutes tomorrow," said Robertinho
In addition, Robertinho has said that the return of defender Hennock Inonga has added strength to his defensive line and without a doubt he will use him in the game
"Hennock is one of the best defenders in Africa, I'm happy to have him back in the squad and I'm not worried I'll use him in the game against Al Ahly"
And Simba captain John Bocco said the players are aware of the difficulty of the game against Al Ahly but they are prepared and will fight to ensure they get a good result
Bocco said the presence of fans is an important weapon for them in the game that will be played at 12 pm
"It won't be an easy match, Al Ahly is the best team but we also have a good team, we have the advantage of playing at home in front of our fans who will be filling the stadium"
"Each player knows the importance of the game and we have planned to make sure we get a positive result so that we can be a safe place in the return match," said Bocco.
