Simba will open an official complaint to CAF against the actions of Wydad Athletic fans who lit fireworks in the Champions League quarter-final match between the teams at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium at the weekend and Simba won 1-0
Simba Club Information and Communication Manager Ahmed Ally has said that they will open the complaint early before traveling to Morocco to keep the fans' attention so as not to damage the psychology of the players
"We will meet on Monday (today) to finish that, I think for those who were on the field, they saw what happened, it was impossible to foresee and worse they did what they did when we were looking for the second goal, we will tell Caf everything even though we know their leaders were here and saw it," said Ahmed
The fans, known as Ultras, jumped the fence and entered one VIP B platform without permission. While the game was going on, they lit fireworks that caused poor vision for the players, leading the referee to stop the game for a few minutes
It has been the habit of the approximately 300 fans who travel with Wydad every time they go to play away
It is feared that the violence could be even greater on Friday in the return match which will be played in Morocco at Mohammed V Stadium
