Today, Sunday, January 29, 2023, Simba Sc is holding the Annual General Meeting which will coincide with the General Election to get new leaders for the next four years.
14 candidates are competing in the election for the positions of Chairman and five members of the club's Board of Directors
The position of the Chairman is contested by two candidates, after the others were disqualified on lack of criteria and qualifications to participate
Those who qualified and have been competing to pour out policies to the members are, Murtaza Mangungu and Moses Kaluwa.
Kaluwa is contesting for the first time, while he seems to give strong opposition to Mangungu who was elected last year in a by-election to fill the vacancy left by Swedy Nkwabi who resigned just seven months after he was elected in 2018.
The candidates vying for the position of the Board of Directors are Dr. Seif Ramadhan, Seleman Haroub, Idd Kitete and Issa Idd
Others are Abubakari Zebo, Abdallah Mgomba, Elisony Mweladzi, Rashid Mashaka, Rodney Makamba, Aziz Mohamed, Asha Baraka and Pendo Mapugilo
The General Conference is being held at the International Conference Hall of Mwalimu Julius Nyerere
