President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Wallace Karia said that some people are threatening to sue him to the International Confederation (FIFA) so that he is banned on decision the league to continue when many countries' leagues have a break to allow the World Cup that will start next week in Qatar
Speaking at the 17th Annual General Meeting of TFF 2022 yesterday, President Karia said that the League will not break during the World Cup because they want to finish the season on time
However, Karia has asked the Premier League Board (TPLB) to look at how to set the schedule during the World Cup so that some important matches do not overlap.
"We will not break the league because right now I am being sent a message asking us to break the league"
"Some are threatening me that they will report to FIFA to ban me, our League will not break during the World Cup because we don't have a team participating there"
"But the board should pay attention to the schedule, important matches should be watched in such a way that they don't overlap, for example a match between Brazil and Argentina should not overlap to Simba or Yanga matches," said Karia
