Striker Meddie Kagere has divided Simba bosses on one side wanting him to leave and the other to stay in the squad.
His record of goals scored in four seasons is said to have persuaded some bosses to give him another chance
Last season, Kagere took second place in Simba's squad scoring seven goals behind Kibu Denis who scored eight goals
In four seasons, Kagere has scored a total of 65 goals in the Mainland Premier League, since joining the 2018/19 season he finished with 23 goals, then added another 22 in the 2019/20 season and last season in 2020/21 he scored 13 with the league recently completed threw seven
The argument used by those who want him to stay is that the season ended, it was not good for the whole team and not just him, many players were not in their best
Simba has already signed two strikers Moses Phiri and Habibu Kiyombo while being linked with another striker Lobi Manzoki joining from Ugandan Vipers Fc
It is clear Simba will have to part ways with two strikers between Kagere, Chris Mugalu and captain John Bocco who many think his era is heading towards the end
