Simba winger Pape Ousmane Sakho has set a record of being the leading with goal assists in the Simba squad after finishing with five assists
The Senegalese midfielder, last season played 22 matches and scored six goals
Participated in 10 goals Simba who finished the season in second place with 61 points after playing 30 matches
Sakho scored in all last three games he played before suffering an injury that left him missing two games to complete the season
It was not a very good season for Simba as not a single midfielder was able to make it to the list of those vying for the best midfielder award.
For the 2020/21 season the award was in the hands of Clatous Chama who gave a total of 15 assists and was number one in the league where this season are Relliats Lusajo of Namungo and Abdalahaman Mussa of Ruvu Shooring leading with six assists.
Sakho has also been named the Simba's best player of the month for June as the 2021/22 season end
Towards next season many are very optimistic that Sakho will do better as he is now used to the Tanzanian league
