Simba head coach Pablo Franco said it was not their intention to lose the game against Orlando Pirates but he is satisfied with the performance shown by the players in the second leg of the Confederation Cup against Orlando Pirates
The game, played at Orlando Stadium yesterday, ended with the hosts winning 4-3 on penalties after 90 minutes of the game ended with the Pirates winning 1-0
It was a similar victory for Simba at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the first game played last week
"I congratulate my players for their dedicated spirit for the team despite playing with ten players on the field for so long. It was an exciting game but we will wait for one year to achieve our goals"
"The penalties are always unpredictable but what I liked was how my players fought. Also congratulations Orlando they were the best within 90 minutes, our journey is over here we will come stronger next year," said Pablo
Simba have already left South Africa to return to Tanzania to continue their Premier League and FA Cup fixtures
The next game is against Yanga and will be played on April 30 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium
