Simba head coach Pablo Franco says they have a chance to repeat the history of 1993 by playing in the final of the Confederations Cup in Africa
Pablo said today they need to get results in the game against Orlando Pirates in order to reach the semi-finals and keep alive the hope of breaking the 29-year-old record
Pablo said they are looking forward to a game with a strong opposition as Pirates will be playing in front of their fans at Orlando Stadium, their responsibility is to make sure they fight for 90 minutes to ensure they get result
"It's been 29 years since we played in the final of this tournament. Tanzanians are eager to see their team reach this stage and we are determined to make sure we go through," said Pablo
For his part, midfielder Rally Bwalya said the players are in good shape and morale is high for the game
In 1993 Simba played in the final of this tournament against Stella Abidjan. Simba came close to winning the title after a goalless draw in Ivory Coast but lost the replay in Dar es Salaam
