Simba Sc chairman Murtaza Mangungu said he was not surprised by the comments made by Orlando Pirates coach after a 1-0 defeat at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the quarter-finals of the Confederations Cup in Africa, first leg.
Mangungu said it has become common for rival teams when they are beaten by Simba at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to make many allegations that are not true
He said Simba has been getting good results at home due to the strength of his squad as well as the good preparations they are making
Mangungu added that they are determined to reach the semi-finals of the tournament by getting good result on the rematch which will be played on Sunday April 24 in Soweto, South Africa
"We are not surprised by the words of the Pirates coach," when many clubs come to Tanzania, when beaten, will always plant false allegations to our club, "said Mangungu
"The quality of our team along with good preparation without forgetting the support of our fans, is a reason to do well and nothing else"
The coach's complaint is baseless because the penalty awarded to Simba was legal, Morrison was fouled inside the penalty box
