Yesterday Simba Sc through the Information and Communication Manager, Ahmed Ally confirmed that winger Bernard Morrison will not be traveling with the team in the quarter-finals of the Confederations Cup against Orlando Pirates in South Africa under the country's immigration laws. that
Simba made efforts to ensure Morrison is allowed to enter South Africa including being willing to pay any costs (fines) he was owed after expiring of his resident permit
Simba chief executive Barbara Gonzalez said after contacting the South African Immigration Authority they were informed that Morrison would not be allowed to re-enter South Africa as their rules did not allow the person who broke them to be given another chance
"We contacted the people of the South African Immigration Authority to apply for permission to enter with Morrison, they told us their rules does not allow Morrison who broke the law to previously to be given another opportunity"
"They have told us that because of his mistake the authorities are not ready to let him in according to the rules, so it is official now Morrison will not go to South Africa," said Barbara
Morrison will have 90 minutes to help Simba make sure they get halfway through to get a good result in the first leg match to be played at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, April 17
Morrison has excelled in the CAF competitions scoring three goals and providing four assists
