Simba Sc has taken action on statements made by Abdi Banda, a Mtibwa Sugar player
In an interview with Kickoff , South Africa 's news media towards the quarter-final match of the Confederation Cup between Simba Sc and Orlando Pirates which will be played on April 17 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Banda has made serious allegations of corruption involving Simba
In an article published by Kickoff, Banda accused Simba of bribing referees in their home games while warning the Pirates to expect a difficult environment when they come to Dar es Salaam
Simba's chief executive Barbara Gonzalez said the statements had tarnished Simba's 'brand' so they would not remain silent
"Simba Sc is a very big institution we cannot be tainted and we will never accepted these allegations, we have already conveyed this issue to the relevant agencies, Simba still have league, FA and CAF matches to play," said Barbara
Simba Sc chairman Murtaza Mangungu also denied the allegations and fans to ignore them
"We have seen the allegations of corruption and have already referred the matter to the relevant authorities, what I am telling our fans, this is not true on our part"
This is not the first time Banda has made unkind remarks about Simba Sc and its players
