Final matches of the group stage of the Confederations Cup in Africa should be played at the same time according to the instructions given by the Confederation of African Football (CAF)
Simba Information and Communication Manager Ahmed Ally said there was a discussion between Simba and RS Berkane who are the hosts of the final Group D games to agree on a time for the matches to be played
The original schedule provided by Simba indicates that the match against USGN will be played on Sunday, April 03 starting at 7pm but that time will be at 5pm in Morocco where also the match between RS Berkane against Asec Mimosas will be played
In addition to the start of the fasting month of Ramadan over the weekend, Berkane has suggested that the games be played from 8pm local time, which in Tanzania is at 4pm
Ahmed has said they are in talks with RS Berkane over when the matches should be played
"So far the match is at 7:00 pm, but there has been a lot of discussion about the time of the game, the matches should be played at the same time, our original time of 4pm we spend most on the international matches we recommended, Morocco it is 2pm for them and they find that time is not friendly because most of their players are fasting "
"The 7pm in Morocco is 5pm yet not friendly to them, the recommended time is 10pm and that time for us is a challenge due to the environment, we are still in the debate at what time the match will be played "
"We are just telling the fans so far the time is 7pm, but we are going to complete negotiations with CAF and Berkane before 2pm we will have full time," said Ahmed
