Simba Sc captain John Bocco is ready to return to the squad after recovering from injuries and could be part of a squad that will travel to Benin for the Confederations Cup match against Asec Mimosas on Sunday, March 20
Bocco suffered injuries in the Premier League match against Dodoma Jiji and was not part of the squad that won 1-0 against RS Berkane last sunday
The striker, who has a unique record in Tanzanian football, said he suffered thigh injuries where doctors treated him and advised him to rest for a few days
"I was injured at the thighs but in fact my progress is good, I hope to join my teammates to continue preparations for the next matches," said Bocco, who has played in the Premier League for 14 seasons since 2008 scoring a total of 139 goals
Simba doctor, Edwin Kagabo said Bocco missed the game against RS Berkane due to the injuries but his condition has improved as they gave him immediate treatment
"We gave him days off to check on his progress and what was bothering him but after looking at him more professionally he did not have much trouble," said Kagabo
